Land Rover release their own mobile phone

Land Rover have just released their own mobile phone called the S1. It has been made in tandem with Sonim who are a mobile phone manufacterer. The phone was first seen on Mt. Everest when explorer Sir Ranulph Fines climbed it in late May 2009.

It has an incredible 1500 hours of battery life which surpasses competitors by 10 fold. Its not surprisingly wind and water proof and has been even crushed by an elephant in testing. It has an extra loud ring tone so when you are under fire you will be able to hear it. Other features include an FM radio, GPS, 2MP camera and the powerful Java platform for applications.

Its being sold by supermarket giant tesco for around £250. A small price to pay for the worlds toughest mobile phone.
